Davidson work is characteristically small in area and high in detail. Village-side properties have compact rear gardens, mature trees and existing hardscape that new work has to relate to, which means the colour and texture decision is constrained by what is already there rather than open. Tree roots are a real factor in this part of the county and they change what is possible: cutting significant roots to gain a level slab can damage a mature tree badly enough that it comes out later, so we will sometimes recommend a smaller area, a different alignment, or a surface that floats over roots rather than excavating through them.
