Charlotte NC · Decorative Concrete

Concrete is the finish, not just the floor

We stamp, stain, expose, polish and overlay concrete for patios, pool decks and outdoor rooms across the Charlotte region. Finish work is all we do, and the quote names the colour method, the pattern, the sealer and the reseal interval rather than leaving them to be discovered.

Approach

How we work, and why

01We only do decorative work

This is a finish business. We stamp, stain, expose, polish, overlay and saw-cut concrete, and we do not chase general contracting alongside it. The reason is that decorative concrete is a timing craft — the difference between an excellent stamped surface and a poor one is measured in the twenty-minute window when the slab is ready, and crews that do this every week hit that window in a way that crews who do it occasionally do not.

02The finish is the last decision, not the first

Clients usually arrive with a picture of a pattern. We start further back: what the area is for, how big it needs to be, where the water goes, what it meets at its edges, and what is going to sit on it. Those answers rule out roughly half the finishes before anyone opens a sample book, and the ones left are the ones that will still look right in ten years. Choosing a pattern first and forcing the design around it is how people end up with a surface they stop noticing and then start disliking.

03Written specifications on decorative work too

Decorative quoting has a reputation for vagueness, and it is deserved. Ours states the colouring method by name, the pattern and release, the base depth, the slab thickness, the reinforcement, the joint layout and cutting method, the sealer product and the reseal interval. That is a document you can hand to another company and get a genuinely comparable number back, which is the point of writing it that way.

04We will tell you when to spend less

The most useful advice we give is often to do less. A bordered field instead of full stamping. An overlay instead of a replacement. A smaller, better-detailed patio instead of a larger plain one. Light colour instead of dark on a pool deck. None of those increase our invoice, and all of them produce a result people are happier with several years later, which is the only measure of this work that actually matters.
